What this programme does

Roughly 61 lakh people depend on Nashik Civil Hospital and close to half of them fall under the tribal belt. Most tribal families live in remote areas in relative isolation, keeping a social and cultural distance from developed communities, which is exactly why a service that arrives once and never returns is worth very little to them.

Our approach is to keep going back. The same wadis, the same coordinators, a fixed calendar. Health camps run with the gram panchayat, awareness drives explained in the local language, and distribution done through the sarpanch and the school teachers so that it reaches the households that need it.

Alongside health we work on the wider community, from environment drives to plantation campaigns run with local schools and civic bodies.
